Pulwama gunfight: Cop killed, Brigadier wounded, death toll rises to eight

Srinagar: A policeman was killed in the ongoing gunfight with the militants in Pulwama on Monday, taking the death toll to eight.

Inspector General of Police, Kashmir SP Pani said the policemen was killed in the gunfight which broke out shortly after midnight in Pinglina village of Pulwama.

Four army men, two militants and a civilian had earlier died in the gunfight. An army Brigadier, lieutenant colonel, DIG South Kashmir are among the injured.

A source said that all the injured have been airlifted to 92 Base Hospital in Srinagar for treatment.
