A gunfight broke out between militants and armed forces in Warpora area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday.
A joint team of Army’s 22 RR, special operations group of police and the CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Warpora village of Sopore on Thursday morning.
A senior Police officer told GNS that as the forces intensified searches the hiding militants fired upon them triggering a gunfight.
