Srinagar: At least 10 civilian have been injured in clashes in Ratnipora village of Shopian. One of the injured sustained a bullet injury in the neck.
Reports said that nine people suffered pellet injures.
The injured were shifted to a nearby health facility where from three of them – one with gunshot wound and two with pellet injuries – were shifted to SMHS hospital for specialized treatment.
Intense clashes had erupted near the gunfight site after protesters attempted to disrupt the anti-militant operation.
According to the police two militants have been killed in gunfight so far.
An Army statement earlier said that one militant body was recovered from the site. The identification if the killed militants is being ascertained.
