Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi has asked Congress to reply over Omar Abdullah’s statement that the post of Prime Minister and President will be brought back to Kashmir.
During a rally in Telengana, Modi said that how come an ally of Congress dared to say something like this.
PM Modi in Telangana says “Congress ke ek bade sahyogi dal, National Conference ne bayan diya hai ki Kashmir mein alag PM hona chahiye. Congress ko jawab dena hoga. Kya karan hai ki unka saathi dal is prakar ki baat bolne ki himmat kar raha hai.” pic.twitter.com/S8BYKpaqrY

Meanwhile, Omar Abdullah, in a tweet said that he is thankful to Modi for giving his ‘humble speech national platform’.Most grateful to Hon PM Modi Sahib for taking my humble speech & giving it a nation platform. @JKNC_ has always stood for the original terms of accession & will continue to fight for those. For the record we don’t need other parties to endorse our position. https://t.co/bouXajBXy4

Earlier, during a rally in Bandipora district, Omar had said that the post of Sadar-e-Riyasat (President) and Wazir-e-Azam (Prime Minister) will be brought back.“Other states joined the Union of India without any conditions. However Jammu and Kashmir acceded with certain conditions. Those included our own identity, own constitution. At that time we had our own ‘Sadar-e-Riyasat’ and ‘Wazir-e-Azam’. Inshallah, we will bring that back too.”
In another tweet, Omar, while defending his statement said that he doesn’t need other parties support.
What “takes me to the cleaners”? I don’t need other parties to support our stand. @JKNC_ has always stood for the restoration of the original terms of accession so there is NOTHING new in this. You guys must be really desperate when the Hon PM makes this an election issue. https://t.co/4Kc7D72Tca
