Srinagar: A two minute video has appeared on Social media purportedly shot in Shopian district where the body of a killed militant is being desecrated by Forces on a street.
This two minute video in which the body of a killed militant is being carried on a four wheeler shows armed forces personnel assaulting the dead body. Another person carrying the body is also being physically assaulted.
Meanwhile local policemen can be seen intervening in the matter.

Sources said that the video has been shot on April 13, when two Slain Militants were killed in the Gahund area of Shopian during a gunfight.

They said that the video has been shot in Shopian district as intense clashes broke out in Batpora area as the news of the killings spread in the area.
The body of Shah Jahan Mir was being carried to his native village when it was stopped by the armed forces near Shopian’s Batpora, where intense clashes were going on.
The video has evoked sharp reaction on Social Media.

There have been many accusations of defacing of bodies of militants killed in gunfights.
Recently, allegations of desecration of dead bodies have escalated, as charred bodies of many militants have been recovered from gunfight sites.
