Aakash Healthcare, Ramzaan Hospital organise brain and spine OPD camp in Srinagar

Srinagar: Aakash Healthcare, Dwarka, a leading tertiary care hospital is conducting a Neuro OPD camp in Srinagar, Kashmir in association with Ramzaan Hospital, Srinagar.

The camp will be focused on neuro and associated issues and would facilitate high quality treatment and consultation of brain tumours, behaviour change, face and limb weakness, head injury, brain stroke, back and leg pain, all sorts of spine problems, fits and other related problems.

Treating doctor present at the OPD, Dr. Amit Srivastava, Director, Neuro and Spine Surgery Aakash Healthcare Super Speciality Hospital, Dwarka, said, “people generally overlook symptoms of neuro problems, such as continuous episodes of headache, significant changes in behaviour, forgetfulness etc. This can lead to major health issues in the long term.”

A study showed that in Srinagar region alone, around 66% of people were found to be suffering from headache, whereas more than 15.5% people have cerebrovascular disorders. Such high prevalence of neurological problems requires awareness to identify their symptoms and seek medical attention on priority.

According to medical journals and various medical studies, stress is found to be the major reason for high occurrences of neurological problem in the area.
