Slain Al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden’s son Hamza dead: Report

According to the United States intelligence, Hamza bin Laden, son of slain Al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden is dead, reported the NBC News.

According to the report, three U.S. officials spoke about his death, however, they didn’t provide details of where or when Hamza bin Laden died or if the U.S. played a role in his death.

Asked by reporters on Wednesday whether the U.S. had intelligence that Hamza is dead, President Donald Trump said, “I don’t want to comment on that.”

Separately, the White House declined comment on whether any announcement was imminent.

Hamza, believed to be about 30 years old, was at his father’s side in Afghanistan before the September 11, 2001, attacks on the United States and spent time with him in Pakistan after the U.S.-led invasion of Afghanistan pushed much of al Qaeda’s senior leadership there, according to the Brookings Institution.
