He added that although they were called by they Indian Consulate in Dubai yesterday, “they are facilitating our return only to New Delhi,” and feared that quarantine facilities in Delhi “might not be favourable” for these Kashmiris. Travelling during a lockdown, he says, is not easy.

Shakeel further added that they appealed to the Indian Consulate that the stranded should be taken directly to Srinagar airport, after which everyone was bound to cooperate with the authorities for medical formalities.

Baseer Ahmad Khan, Advisor to Lt. Governor of Jammu and Kashmir has said that the administration will take up the issue and try to ease out hardships faced by these stranded Kashmiris.

Earlier today, 160 students reached Srinagar after being evacuated from Dhaka, Bangladesh in an Air India flight.
