Two militants were killed in a gunfight between armed forces and militants at Wanpora in Qaimoh area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
The identity of the militants is yet to be ascertained, an official said.

The official said that a cordon and search operation was launched in the area by joint team of forces including 1 RR, CRPF and Kulgam Police on specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area on Friday evening.
He said that on Saturday morning as forces approached towards suspected spot, the militants fired upon forces which was retaliated triggering a gunfight.
The search operations are underway and the mobile internet services have been snapped in the region.
