Covid-19: 12,881 new cases, 334 deaths in last 24 hours; India’s tally crosses 3.6 lakh

In a drastic jump, 12,881 people in India tested positive for the virus in a single day. This tally of new infections per day is the highest so far. The total number of cases has reached 3,66,946. The death toll in the country has zoomed to 12,237.

In the last 24 hours, 334 deaths were recorded. 

Maharashtra remains the worst hit state followed by Tamil Nadu and Delhi. On Wednesday, 3,300 positive cases and 114 deaths were reported in the state of Maharashtra.

Delhi reported 2,500 positive cases and 67 fatalities  on Wednesday.

2,174 people tested positive for the virus in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday. 

Pertaining to the volatile situation of the Pandemic, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi urged all to “not panic as more and more people are recovering from the deadly infection.”
