Srinagar: After a private conversation between a Councillor from Kargil, Zakir Hussain, and his friend leaked on social media, the Congress party has issued a show-cause notice.
In a press release the Indian National Congress condemned the content of the private conversation and said that the party had nothing to do with the ‘private conversation’.
Further, the press release mentions that “the people of Ladakh, especially Kargil, have always been in the forefront with the Indian Armed forces defending the nation…”
The conversation in the leaded audio revolves around the recent Indo-China clashes in the Galwan Valley where 20 Indian soldiers were killed.
In the audio, Zakir Hussain can be heard talking about the balkanisation of the UT of Ladakh, and the abrogation of Article 370.
In the conversation, he talks about his wishes of including Kargil with Kashmir, and division of Ladakh into many pieces.
Referring to the Indian army, he can be heard saying “dajiyaa udaadi thi unki” (they were decimated).
