445 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours
A ravishing number of 14,821 fresh infections were reported in the last 24 hours taking the Covid-19 tally to 425,282. The death toll surged to 13,699 as 445 deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours.
A major contribution of fresh infections as well as deaths was done by the state of Maharashtra which remains the most affected state till date. Maharashtra contributed more than 45% of the new deaths reported.
3,870 cases were recorded in the state itself in the last 24 hours with the death toll tally of 6,000.
In the national capital Delhi, 3,000 people tested positive for the virus taking the toll tally to 60,000.
The virus seems to be on a rapid spread throughout the country as people from all corners of India are testing positive for the fatal virus. A state like Arunachal Pradesh which remains cut-off from the hustle bustle and rapid movement of people has recorded 139 cases till now.
