COVID: 19,459 cases recorded in 24 hrs, Telangana Home Minister tests positive

The coronavirus seems to be on an unending spree as 19,459 cases were reported throughout the country taking the toll tally to 5.5 lakh and the death toll tallying to 16,459 as 380 deaths were reported.

As the number of people testing positive for the virus is on a surge, several states have re-imposed the lockdown in order to avoid further spread of the virus.

Of the 5,48,318 cases, 3.2 lakh patients have recovered from the virus.
Commenting on the surging cases, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu said that “no storm can continue forever”.

As of now, the national capital has about 83,000 cases of the virus while as Maharashtra has recorded over 5,493 cases in the past 24 hours.

More than 10.24 million people around the world have tested positive for the fatal virus. As of now, 5.5 million have recovered and 504,410 people have died due to the deadly virus.
