Assembly to be formed in JK soon, Ram Madhav says

Madhav said that assembly will be formed after delimitation process complete

Srinagar: Stating that government of India’s decision to abrogate the Article 370 will not be withdrawn, BJP General Secretary Ram Madhav said that assembly will be constituted “soon” in the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir.

Taking a dig at the National Conference and PDP, the BJP leader said that if they want to do politics, they should go among the people instead of tweeting.

“You (NC and PDP) are telling people that Article 370 was beneficial, this is politics. But here you will find those who can either take the life of others (Article 370) on it or the leaders who are tweeting from home. All the leaders are free, some are in Kashmir but they only tweet. They don’t come on the streets,” Madhav was quoted by a Delhi based news organization NDTV.

Madhav said that no matter how much ‘mourning’ the parties of Jammu and Kashmir should celebrate, Article 370 will not come back.

“One year has passed, if NC and PDP (of Article 370) want to mourn another year and keep tweeting then keep doing it,” the report quoted Madhav as saying.

Pointing to the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, Madhav said that the assembly will be formed soon and the erstwhile state will move towards the path of development. Madhav said that assembly in Jammu and Kashmir will be formed after the delimitation process is completed.

On August 5, 2019, GoI removed the article 370 that granted the special status to the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir.
