Srinagar: A young developer from Chadoora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district, has developed a mobile application as an alternative to Cam Scanner, which was recently banned across India by the Government of India.
‘Document Scanner Tool’, a 29.63 MB application is now available on Play Store and was developed by Tipu Sultan Wani as an alternative to Cam Scanner.
Wani had earlier developed a mobile application for sharing files as an alternative to SHAREit.
“Document Scanner Tool is free, and the app has all features unlocked so it doesn’t need any paid subscriptions. It can help you scan documents. You can scan multiple documents to create a PDF batch, eBooks as well as document folders,” Tipu says.
Talking about support, he says that his brother, Farooq Wani also helped him, and people aksing for more applications has motivated him.
Tipu says that he will soon come up with an alternative app for TikTok, which has also been banned.
Cam Scanner, Shareit and 57 other Chinese Applications were banned by the Government across India after a face-off at Galwan Valley in Ladakh ended with the killing of 20 Indian soldiers.
The government had cited security concerns while banning these apps.
