Civilian shot dead in Pulwama

Srinagar: A 40-year-old physically challenged man was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday late evening.

Reports said that the civilian identified as Azad Ahmad Dar, son of Mohammad Akbar Dar, a resident of Kangan Pulwama, was shot dead by unidentified gunmen at his residence in Kangan.

Dar, according to reports, was physically challenged and is survived by a wife who hails from Bihar and a daughter.

In this regard, official sources said that Dar breathed his last when he was on the way to District Hospital Pulwama. Hospital officials said that Dar was brought dead.

Meanwhile, Police have taken cognizance of the incident and further investigations have been taken up.
