Srinagar: A gunfight broke out between militants and armed forcs personnel in Babhoora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama on Friday.
According to the reports a joint team of 55 RR, 182, 183 CRPF and SOG Pulwama launched a cordon-and-search-operation following inputs about the presence of militants in an orchard in Babhoora.

As the joint team encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them. The fire was retaliated by the joint team, triggering off a gunfight.
Official sources said that exchange of fire between the joint team and the militants is going on.
Pertinently, this is the second gunfight in Kashmir since morning. Earlier, in Pattan area of north Kashmir, two militants were killed and two armed forces personnel sustained injuries in an ongoing gunfight.
