JK reports 1047 fresh COVID cases, 31,435 recovered so far

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Friday informed that 1047 fresh COVID cases were detected in last 24 hours, thus taking the total number of cases in JK 40,990.

The erstwhile state also reported 12 COVID deaths today- 3 from Jammu division and 9 from Kashmir.

Moreover, 676 more COVID patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals, 131 from Jammu and 545 from Kashmir.

According to the daily bulletin, out of 40990 positive cases, 8800 are Active Positive, 31435 have recovered and 755 have died; 81 in Jammu division and 674 in Kashmir.

The bulletin further said that out of 1031316 test results available, 990326 samples have been tested as negative till September 04, 2020.

Till date, 4,72,900 travellers and persons in contact with suspected cases have been enlisted for observation which included 44162 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 8800 in isolation and 48036 under home surveillance. Besides, 371147 persons have completed their surveillance period.

The administration has also evacuated about 3,93,686 JK residents, stranded in other parts of the country due to COVID lockdown, via Lakhanpur  and through special trains and buses till date amid strict observance of all necessary guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures.

As per the official data received in this regard, the Jammu and Kashmir administration has received 135 special trains at Jammu and Udhampur railway stations from different states and UTs, so far, with about 1,18,203 passengers while about 2,75,483 persons from other states and UTs including 934 from abroad have been evacuated by the government through Lakhanpur till date.

As per the detailed breakup of the figures, about 3385 stranded passengers have entered through Lakhanpur from September 03 to September 04 mornings while 1088 passengers have reached today in the 114th Delhi COVID special train at Jammu. So far, 114 trains have reached Jammu with a total of 102,507 stranded passengers belonging to different districts while 15,696 passengers have reached Udhampur in 21 special trains, so far.
