With 15 deaths reported today, COVID toll in JK reaches 770, infections at 42,241

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Saturday informed that 1,251 fresh COVID cases were detected in last 24 hours, thus taking the COVID tally to 42,241.

The erstwhile state also reported 15 COVID deaths- 10 from Jammu division and 05 from Kashmir.

Moreover, 489 more COVID patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals, 123 from Jammu division and 366 from Kashmir.

According to the daily bulletin, out of 42241 positive cases, 9547 are Active Positive, 31924 have recovered and 770 have died; 91 in Jammu division and 679 in Kashmir division.

The bulletin further said that out of 1051826 test results available, 1009585 samples have been tested as negative till September 05, 2020.

Till date, 4,76,330 travellers and persons in contact with suspected cases have been enlisted for observation which included 43668 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 9547 in isolation and 48834 under home surveillance. Besides, 373511 persons have completed their surveillance period.
