Pulwama: Suspected militants on Sunday fired upon patrolling a party of 50 RR in Parigam area of Pulwama, however, no one was injured in the attack, police said
A senior police officer said that militants fired upon a patrolling party in Parigam village, following which search operation was launched in the area to nab the attackers.
Earlier, a joint team of Police, Army’s 50 RR and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Parigam.
As the joint team encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them.
There are reports of Internet being snapped in the area, as the operation in underway.
