1,104 cases reported in 24 hours take JK’s COVID tally to 68,614

Srinagar: In the last 24 hours, Jammu and Kashmir reported 1,104 fresh novel coronavirus cases including 25 travellers, taking the total count to 68,614.

Officials said that 624 cases were confirmed from Jammu and 480 from Kashmir valley.

Among the cases, Srinagar reported 194, Budgam 49, Baramulla 72, Pulwama 33, Anantnag 24,  Bandipora 20, Kupwara   42, Ganderbal 28, Kulgam 11, Shopian 7, Jammu 242, Rajouri 49,  Udhampur 49, Kathua 36, Doda 54, Samba 37, Poonch 44, Ramban 38, Reasi 36 and Kishtwar 39.

Meanwhile, 1549 more COVID patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals— 960 from Jammu Division and 589 from Kashmir Valley.

Besides positive cases, 22 COVID deaths were also reported in JK, 14 from Jammu division and 08 from Kashmir.

According to media bulletin, out of 68,614 positive cases, 19451 are Active Positive, 48079 have recovered and 1084 have died; 283 in Jammu division and 801 in Kashmir division.

The bulletin further said that out of 14,87,962 test results available, 1419348 samples have been tested as negative till September 24, 2020.

Till date, 55,80,98 travellers and persons in contact with suspected cases have been enlisted for observation which included 15,800 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 19451 in isolation and 54586 under home surveillance. Besides, 467177 persons have completed their surveillance period.
