Operation suspended due to darkness, cordon to remain intact
Pulwama: Two militants were killed and an armed forces personnel injured on Sunday in a military operation at Samboora area of Awantipora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Official sources said that two militants have been killed in an ongoing operation; however, the identity of the slain militants is yet to be ascertained.

They added that an armed forces personnel has also received injuries during the operation and subsequently shifted to 92 Base hospital for treatment.
Quoting a top police official, a report by local news agency GNS said that operation has been suspended for night due to darkness. However, cordon will remain intact till morning. “Operation will resume tomorrow morning with first light,” the officer said.
The operation began after a joint team of Police, Army’s 50RR and CRPF launched cordon and search operation in Kumar Mohalla Samboora following specific inputs about the presence of militants.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the party, triggering an operation.
