42 travellers among 975 COVID cases reported in 24 hours in JK, toll mounts to 75,070

Srinagar: Forty-two travelers were among 975 new novel coronavirus cases reported in last 24 hours, taking the total tally to 75,070.

Among the cases, officials said that 568 cases were from Jammu division and 407 from Kashmir valley. Giving district-wise details, they said, Srinagar reported 173, Budgam 48, Baramulla 53, Pulwama 33,Anantnag 16, Bandipora 15, Kupwara 38, Ganderbal 23, Kulgam 6, Shopian 2, Jammu 353, Rajouri 27, Udhampur 41, Kathua 12, Doda 18, Samba 24, Poonch 27, Ramban 12, Reasi 19 and Kishtwar 35.

Moreover, they said, 1355 more COVID patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals 790 from Jammu and 565 from Kashmir.

According to the daily bulletin, out of 75070 positive cases, 17017  are Active Positive, 56872 have recovered and 1181 have died; 342 in Jammu division and 839 in Kashmir division.

The bulletin further said that out of 1622775 test results available, 1547705 samples have been tested as negative till September 30, 2020.

Till date 576398 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 15423 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 17017 in isolation and 50575 under home surveillance. Besides, 492202 persons have completed their surveillance period.
