Srinagar: Three Lashkar-e-Toiba militants were killed in a military operation in Hakripora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday, Inspector General of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar said.
IGP further said that this group was involved in the attack on CRPF yesterday in which two CRPF troopers were injured.
Earlier, a joint team of Police and army’s 50RR launched a cordon and search operation in Hakripora.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight, officials said.
Clashes between civilians and armed forces were reported near the site of the military operation.

Pertinently two militants were killed in an overnight military operation in Shopian.
