Annual exams for class 10 and 12 announced, date-sheet out

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) on Friday released the date sheet for the annual examination of 10th and 12th class students, and said that the Annual examination of 10th and 12th class students begins from November 9th and 10th respectively.

There was uncertainty among students as JK BOSE announced many tentative dates for the examination and students were expecting their exams after November 15.

However, clearing all doubts, JK BOSE said that it will hold exams from November 9th and 10th respectively.

“We have framed date sheet which is student friendly. We have already delayed examination by one month so that student will get enough time for the preparation. I am sure students are well prepared and I wish them best of luck. They will shine in the exams,” Joint secretary examination JK BOSE, Dr. Aijaz Ahmad Hakak told Free Press Kashmir.

He said that keeping in mind COVID, officials have made preparations in the examination centers.

“We have designated double examination centers than earlier so that social distancing is properly maintained,” he added.

According to the date-sheet, class 10th exams will start from Monday, November 9 with vocational subjects and second paper, with one day gap, is mathematics.

Class 10th has 1 to 5 days of gap between the papers while class 12th has 1 to 7 days of gap between the papers.

Moreover, the administration has also given 30% choice in the exams of both 10th and 12th.

According to JK BOSE officials, students will have to attend 70 marks which will be considered as 100%.
