Four doctors among 536 COVID cases reported in 24 hours in JK, tally reaches 93,213

Srinagar: Thirty-five travellers and four doctors were among 536 new COVID cases reported in Jammu and Kashmir in last 24 hours, taking the total tally to 93,213.

Among the cases, officials said that 199 were reported from Jammu division and 337 from Kashmir valley.

Giving district-wise details, they said, Srinagar reported 131 cases, Budgam 27, Baramulla 73, Pulwama 12, Kupwara 30, Anantnag 13  Bandipora 12, Ganderbal 25, Kulgam 6, Shopian 8, Jamm 118, Rajouri 3, Udhampur 6, Doda 4, Kathua 14, Poonch 5, Samba 12, Kishtwar 18, Ramban 8 and Reasi 11.

Moreover, they said, 546 more COVID patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals 213 from Jammu Division and 333 from Kashmir.

In the last 24 hours, Kashmir also witnessed four more COVID related deaths, taking the fatality count to 1,456.

Among those victims, they said, one was from Kashmir and three others from Jammu.

The victim from valley includes a 58-year-old woman from Bagh-e-Mehtaab Srinagar who was admitted to a hospital in Srinagar and diagnosed with bilateral community-acquired pneumonia on October 18.

The other two victims belonged to Jammu and another was from Kathua. With these deaths, the fatality count has reached 968 in valley and 488 in Jammu region. Srinagar district with 348 deaths tops the list followed by Jammu 251.
