Massive blaze leaves 3 families homeless in Bandipora, locals appeal Admin to rehabilitate victims

Bandipora: Three families were rendered homeless after a devastating fire incident turned their residential houses into ashes in Plan area of the main town in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Monday late evening.

Official sources said that three residential houses belonging to three brothers were reduced to ashes after a massive fire broke out in one of the houses in Ward No 3 of Plan locality.

He said that the fire erupted from one of the residential houses and engulfed the surrounding houses within no time. “There was, however, no loss of human life reported in the incident,” the official said.

The official said that till the fire was brought under control by fire and emergency men three families were rendered homeless and property worth lakhs got perished.

Meanwhile, locals have appealed the district administration to rehabilitate the fire-affected families.
