Uri: A local court on Wednesday sent an army man for seven days judicial custody after police produced him before Chief Judicial Magistrate Uri on molestation charges in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
The accused hails from Doda Jammu and currently posted at 173 Army Engineering Unit in Bande Uri.
A police official said that the accused was booked in a case vide FIR number 168/2020 under section 457, 376, 511 after a woman accused him of molestation.
The accused was identified as Parvaiz Ahmad Khan, son of Sadaruddin Khan, a resident of Doda.
“He was produced before the court and sent to judicial custody for 7 days,” the police officer said.
