Pulwama: Two militants were killed in a military operation by armed forces personnel and a civilian injured in Tiken village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday morning.

The operation began after a joint team of JK Police, Army’s 55 RR and 182, 183 battalions of CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in the area.
As the joint team of armed forces personnel approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them ensuing the operation.

A police official told Free Press Kashmir that two militants have been killed so far and the operation is going on.
During the initial exchange of gunfire, a senior police officer told news agency KNO that a civilian received bullet injuries and was subsequently shifted to hospital for treatment.
