Bandipora: An 18-year-old motorcyclist was killed on Tuesday after he was hit by a passenger bus near Chortung Morh in Ajas area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
An official told news agency KNO said that the motorcyclist was critically injured after being hit by the passenger bus.
He said that the injured motorcyclist was immediately shifted to CHC Sumbal, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
The official identified the deceased as Liyaqat Mir, son of Hidayatullah Mir, a resident of Check Garoora.
“Body of the deceased was handed over to family members for last rites after completing all legal formalities,” the official said.
He said that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at police Post Ajas and further investigation has been started.
