Indigo aircraft comes in close proximity of accumulated snow at Srinagar Airport, passengers shifted to another plane

Srinagar: An Indigo aircraft had a narrow escape at the Srinagar international airport on Wednesday after it came in close proximity of accumulated snow when the flight was about to take off.

An official said that the aircraft was about to take off to Delhi from Srinagar airport when it came in close proximity of accumulated snow.

Director Srinagar Airport, Santosh Dhoke told KNO that the engine of the aircraft had come in close proximity of the accumulated snow, and the ground staff immediately stopped the aircraft. He said that as a safety measure the aircraft has been kept at bay.

“All the passengers on board were shifted to another aircraft and a team from Delhi will do the necessary check of the aircraft before making it ready for takeoff,” he said.

He also said that all the flight operations are going on smoothly at the Srinagar airport.
