Senior journalist Masood Hussain bereaved, KEG grieved

Srinagar: Gull Hassan Wani, father of senior journalist and Kashmir Life’s Editor-in-Chief, Masood Hussian, passed away on Saturday morning at SKIMS, Soura.

Wani, according to family members, was not keeping well from some time and was admitted to SKIMS Soura on Wednesday, late evening. As his condition deteriorated, he was put on ventilator support, where he breathed his last at around 5 am.

A resident of Gehend village in Shopian district in south Kashmir, Wani was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard.

Meanwhile, Kashmir Editors Guild (KEG) condoles the sad demise of its Secretary-General’s father.

In a condolence message, KEG expressed grief over Wani’s demise and said that the deceased was a highly revered person and a noble soul. He will be laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard at Gehend today. KEG stands with Masood Hussain in this hour of grief and expresses solidarity with the bereaved family.
