Srinagar: Unknown Gunmen fired upon a man near Sonwar area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar on Wednesday evening.
A senior police officer told GNS that suspected militants fired upon a civilian at Krishna Dabba in Sonwar.
The civilian is identified as Aakash Mehra, son of Ramesh Kumar Mehra.
He was immediately shifted to SMHS hospital for treatment where his condition is said to be critical, the officer said.
Dr Nazir Choudhary told KNO that the man has received a bullet in his chest and is being operated at Trauma ward.
Meanwhile, the area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.
J&K BJP General Secretary (Organisation), Ashok Koul “condemned the attack on Krishna Dhaba’s owner in Sonwar area of Srinagar leaving him critically injured”.
