Pulwama: A student appearing in the Class 4 exams for the Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board has alleged that she missed her exams because she was stopped by the Armed Forces.

“I left home at 10 am to appear in the exams. But on the way we were stopped by the armed forces at Kadlabal in Pulwama,” Roquai Rashid from Awantipora told Free Press Kashmir.

She alleges that the bike was stopped by forces, and they were made to stand unnecessarily for over half an hour.

“We told them we have an exam but they were very aggressive. They verbally abused my cousin and asked us to stand,” she says.

Due to the delay, Roquai alleges, she was not allowed to appear in her scheduled exam at the Govt Degree College (Girls) in Pulwama.

The student has appealed to the authorities to consider her case and ensure that ‘other students don’t miss their exams because they are stopped on the way and made to stand’.
