‘Remember Kashmir? You reap what you sow’: Arvind Kejriwal called out for Hypocrisy over Article 370 position

New Delhi: A day after Parliament of India passed a bill that gives more power to the Lieutenant Governor than the Chief Minister, and Arvind Kejriwal calling it a ‘betrayal of people’s mandate’, netizens have trolled the Delhi Chief Minister for being “hypocritic”.

The Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill, 2021, enhances powers of the LG, who represents the GoI, in comparison to the state government.

As the Bill was passed, Kejriwal responding to the Bill tweeted: “Passage of GNCTD Amendment Bill in Lok Sabha today is an insult to people of Delhi. The Bill effectively takes away powers from those who were voted by people & gives powers to run Delhi to those who were defeated. BJP has cheated the people.”

As the tweet went viral, Netizens began commenting and trolling Kejriwal for having ‘contradicting beliefs’ as Kejriwal was one among many political leaders who supported BJP’s move to strip JK of statehood and semi-autonomous status.

“When BJP undermined democracy in Kashmir, AK was the first to endorse it. Why are Aapians cribbing now? What is good for the goose is also good for the gander,” said one user named Arun Arora.

Another wrote: “Chup ekdam chup” and shared the photograph of the tweet when Kejirwal supported the abrogation of 370 in Kashmir and hoped for “peace and development” in the erstwhile state.

Another user, Ahona Sengupta, shared the same screenshot of Kejriwal praising the abrogation of JK’s special status.

A user Logical Indian called it a Karma and wrote: “Karma .. Just remember the moment when u rejoiced on the removal of Kashmir’s sec 370. You deserve worse than this. Chaddi.”

Pragyan said: “When it happened to Kashmir you rejoiced and welcomed the move….. Now, there is nobody to speak for you”

A user, Asif Arsalan, mocking Kejriwal’s wrote: “We Support The Govt on Its Decision on DELHI. We hope this will bring Peace and Development in DELHI.”

“Remember Kashmir?? you celebrated then and mourning now!! Why this Hypocrisy??? You r a learned man but you chose to become politician over a common learned man,” Dr Sudhakar Yadav wrote.

Another welcomed the BJP by sharing claping emojis. “Welldone BJP,” Khan wrote.
