Pulwama: A military operation against militants has started in Kakapora area of Pulwama district in south Kashmir on Friday early morning.
The operation began after a joint team of Police, Army’s 50 RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of militants in the area, officials said.
They said that as the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, hiding militants fired upon them triggering the operation.

Meanwhile, Internet services in Pulwama district have been suspended in the wake of the military operation.
