2nd COVID wave in JK: Closure of all classes extended till April 18

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Sunday said that all schools up to 12th standard in the Union Territory shall remain closed for offline classes till April 18.

The state executive committee has said that the schools in J&K shall remain closed for any on-campus or in-person education to the students of all classes.

While schools up to 9th standard were already closed till 18 April, others—10th to 12th—were shut last week till 12 April.

“It is clarified that this order does not prohibit the conduct of any scheduled exam during this period by examination conducting body or institute subject to existing covid-19 norms of adequate social distancing and sanitization,” reads an order member secretary State executive Committee.
