Business establishments to remain closed on Sundays in Jammu city, says JCC

Says shops to remain open from 10 AM to 7 PM on other days; Restaurants, shops dealing with eatables to remain open till 9 pm

Jammu: At a time when Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir have ordered 50 per cent opening of markets besides laying out a number of new SOPs amid a surge in Coronavirus cases, Jammu’s Chamber of Commerce has rolled out a new market timing in order to assist the administration in the fight against COVID.

According to Kashmir News Observer, the president of Jammu Chamber of Commerce, Arun Gupta said that after meeting with traders’ bodies of various areas of Jammu city, it has been decided that all kinds of business establishments will remain closed on Sunday.

He also said that all kinds of shops in Jammu city will open from 10 AM to 07 except establishments dealing with eatables and restaurants that shall close at 09 PM.

“This is a crucial time and we all need to extend our best possible cooperation to the administration for fighting coronavirus,” Gupta said.
