Srinagar: Militants fired upon Jammu and Kashmir police party at Lazibal area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday evening, leaving a cop injured.
At about1820 hours while Police party was getting closed for shift to be replaced by another party for Covid Lockdown duty near Lazibal Anantnag,
terrorists opened fire on police party. One policeman received minor injuries. Fire was retaliated. Area sealed,search launched.— Anantnag Police( اننت ناگ پولیس) (@AnantnagPolice) May 1, 2021
Officials said that militants fired upon a police party in which a cop identified as Ghulam Muhammad received a minor injury and was discharged after first aid.
The officer further said that the attack was retailed, however, due to darkness militants managed to escape from the spot.
Meanwhile, the whole area has been cordoned and searches are going.
