Bijbehara: A civilian was killed while another sustained injuries after unidentified gunmen fired upon them in Jablipora area of Bijbehara of Anantnag district on Saturday evening.
Officials said that two civilians were injured after they were fired upon by suspected militants in Jablipora.
They said that both the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, where one of them succumbed to his injuries.
He identified the deceased as Sanjeet Ahmad Parry (19) son of Abdul Azeem Parrey, a resident of Jablipora. The injured has been identified as Shaan Bhat, son of Ghulam Qadir Bhat, a resident of Jablipora.
The official said that the area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers,
