Srinagar: An unidentified militant has been killed in an ongoing overnight military operation at Wagoora area of Nowgam in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Wednesday.

“One militant has been killed in the ongoing operation. However, the identity of the slain militant is yet to be ascertained,” an official source said.
The operation had ensued after a team of police and CRPF was fired upon during a cordon-and-search operation launched in the area amid specific information about the presence of the militants.
