137 COVID infections, 1 death reported in 24 hours in JK

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported 137 COVID cases and one person succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Friday.

They said 58 of the cases were reported from Jammu and 79 from Kashmir, taking the case tally to 3,21,344.

Providing the district-wide details, officials said that Srinagar reported 26 cases, Baramulla 15, Budgam 7, Pulwama 6, Kupwara 2, Anantnag 0, Bandipora 2, Ganderbal 8, Kulgam 13, Shopian 0, Jammu 13, Udhampur 1, Rajouri 8, Doda 14, Kathua 1, Samba 0, Kishtwar 1, Poonch 4, Ramban 2 and Reasi 14.

A number of these cases were confirmed at diagnostic laboratories of CD hospital and GMC Anantnag.

The CD cases include male (79) and female (73) from Hari, two males (35, 37) from Dadsara, male (12) from Batagund, female (54) from Noorpora, female (32) from Gundbal Pampore, male (22) from Ladhoo Pampore, two females (47, 17) from Gaberpora Pul, female (30) from Arabal Pul, two males (40, 39) from BB Cantt Srg, three males (75, 65, 29) and female (45) from NA, female (55) from Ahmadnagar Srg and male (60) from Lal Bazar.

The GMC Anantnag cases include female (60) from Nasu Qazigund, female (30) from Sehpora, and female (24) from Korel.

Regarding the fresh death due to the virus, they said, it was reported from Jammu. So far, 4,378 people have fallen victim to the pathogen in JK, 2,142 in Jammu, and 2,236 in Kashmir.
