Srinagar: Soon after a grenade was hurled in Srinagar injuring 3 civilians, DIG CRPF for central Kashmir said that ‘militants’ intended to target the SSB party; however, it exploded on the road.
In the incident, three civilians- two women and a man, were injured and subsequently shifted to hospital for treatment, officials said.
They said the grenade was lobbed t towards 40 battalion of SSB near Hanuman Mandir at Hari Singh High Street.
Kishore Prasad, DIG CRPF for Central Kashmir told reporters that the ‘militants’ targeted the SSB party by hurling the grenade that exploded on the road.
“Two to three civilians have received minor injuries. The area has been cordoned off and searches are going on,” he said.
