Srinagar: A civilian was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Karanagar area of Srinagar on Saturday, officials said.
A police official said that the civilian has been identified as Abdur Rehman Guroo, a resident of Chattabal. Guroo was shot dead from a close range.
“He was shifted to the nearby SMHS where he succumbed,” the official said.
Medical Superintendant SMHS Dr Kanwaljeet Singh said that the slain recieved three bullets in his chest and one on his face.
“He was brought dead to the hospital,” Singh said.
