Srinagar: Unidentified gunmen on Tuesday fired at and shot dead a noted pharmacist M L Bindro at Iqbal Park area of Srinagar.
Bindroo was 68. He was shot at his shop at around 7 in the evening and sustained multiple injuries.
“He was rushed to the hospital where the authorities declared him brought dead,” news agency Kashmir News Observer (KNO) reported quoting Dr Kanwaljeet Singh, Medical Superintendent SMHS hospital.
Multiple checkpoints have been set up enroute and armed forces have been stationed near the site where the attack took place.
