3 TRF militants killed in Shopian military operation, says police

Shopian: Three militants of The Resistance Front (TRF) have been killed in a military operation between armed forces personnel and militants in Tulran area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Tuesday, as per police.

Quoting a senior police officer, the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) reported that the identity of two out of three militants is yet to be ascertained.

Meanwhile, IGP Kashmir has said that one among the three was Mukhtar Shah of Ganderbal who shifted to Shopian after Killing a non-local street vendor, Virendra Paswan in Srinagar.

Earlier on Monday evening, an official has said that a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) on specific information about the presence of militants in the area.

Two alleged militants were killed in Anantnag and Bandipora on Monday while as 4 armed forces personnel were killed in a military operation in the forests of Poonch.
