16 JK districts complete 100 percent first dose vaccination for all above 18 years of age

Srinagar: Sixteen districts in Jammu and Kashmir have completed 100 percent first dose vaccination of all above 18 years of age, officials said Wednesday. Nine districts in Kashmir and seven districts in Jammu have achieved the feat vis-à-vis vaccination.

The Valley districts that have achieved the target include Anantnag, Kulgam, Shopian, Pulwama, Budgam, Srinagar Ganderbal, Bandipora and Baramulla while as districts in Jammu which have achieved the feat include Jammu, Rajouri, Kuthua, Poonch, Ramban, Doda and Samba.

“In Kashmir, only Kupwara district with vaccination percentage 94 percent is yet to achieve the full target,” the figures reveal.

In Jammu division, Udhampur with vaccination percentage 94 percent, Kishtwar with 81.5 percent and Reasi with 99 percent are yet to achieve the target, the figures reveal.

“In aggregate form around 99.9 percent of people over 18 years of age have been given first dose of vaccine.”—(KNO)
