Srinagar: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president along with party workers marched to Raj Bhawan in Srinagar on Sunday against the civilian killings in Hyderpora and demanded a judicial probe into the incident.

The march started from her residence, and Mehbooba, along with dozens of party workers, gathered outside the Governor’s office to register their protest.

Mehbooba also demanded a judicial inquiry into the Hyderpora military operation where three civilians were killed.

“They will have to return the bodies and give compensation. LG will have to apologize. There should be a judicial probe,” Mehbooba told reporters.

She added that Governor must apologize to the relatives of the civilian slain who were killed by armed forces.

On Saturday, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha promised that those found guilty will not be spared and assured justice to the families.

“An incident has taken place regarding a law and order and those found guilty will not be spared,” LG Sinha said while addressing a gathering of members of the Sikh community in Jammu region on the occasion of Guru Purab.
