2 among 14 armed forces personnel injured in militant attack in Srinagar succumb, says police

Srinagar: Two of the fourteen armed forces personnel injured in militant attack in Srinagar have succumbed to their injuries on Monday evening.

Police officials said that three of the 14 injured personnel of Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police’s 9th battalion have succumbed to their injuries.

Earlier, police in a tweet said that 14 of the personnel were injured after the bus they were traveling in came under a militant attack in Zewan Pantha Chowk area of Srinagar.

The injured personnel were soon evacuated to the hospital for treatment, however; three of them have been declared dead, officials said.

Meanwhile, the area has been cordoned off and searches are going on in the area.
