Tral: A military operation against militants has started in south Kashmir’s Tral area, police said on Saturday.
Police officials said that a joint team of police, Army, and CRPF launched an operation after receiving information about the presence of militants in Hardumir Tral area.
They said that as the joint team of armed forces intensified searches towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them triggering the operation.
The exchange of gunfire between the militants and armed forces is going on, the officials added.
Pertinently, this is the second military operation in south Kashmir in the last 12 hours ae earlier two militants were killed in Chowgam Shopian.
